Water and stormwater management is one of the main services we provide to our residents. If you are a City of Ridgefield utility customer, review the options below to check that you are making the most out of the account services and programs available to you.
Online Self ServiceEverything you need to manage your account is available online, 24/7. Payments, Account Setup or Closing, forms for enrollment in budget billing or other programs are all available online. There are no fees for online payments.
Access Online Self Service. Budget BillingThe Budget Billing program uses your past year billing history to estimate your bill throughout the year and charge an equal payment for each two-month cycle. This can help to keep utility costs level throughout the year, rather than surging in the summer months when use is higher.
Learn more and enroll online. Conservation RateTo encourage residents to be conscious of their water use and conserve water, the City of Ridgefield offers a conservation rate. Residents who use 1,000 cubic feet or less every cycle may benefit from lower water bills when enrolled in the conservation rate. Utility customers may change to or from the conservation rate December 1-December 31 of each year.
Low Income RateThe Low-Income discount program is designed to offer reduced utility rates for citizens who meet federal poverty guidelines based on family size.

Payment PlansIf you are unable to pay your bill by the due date you may apply to establish a payment plan spreading repayment out over an extended time period. This option keeps your account current, avoiding late fees and disconnection. You can
request a Payment Plan online.
Utility Assistance ProgramA new utility assistance program is available for residents facing financial hardship. Eligible applications can receive a credit of up to $250 toward their past due utility bill once per 12-month period.
