Join us for the 2024 State of the City

Join us on Tuesday, March 19 for the premiere of the State of the City video and presentation of the annual Make A Difference Awards. The State of the City video will cover how we are implementing the Ridgefield Comprehensive Plan and what is coming next.

The program will begin at 6:30, but come early to meet with the project team for Envision Ridgefield 2045, our multi-year project to update the Ridgefield Comprehensive Plan that guides growth for the next 20 years. This is your chance to ask questions about the project, learn more about growth planning and provide feedback on your vision for Ridgefield.

Date: Tuesday, March 19
Location: Ridgefield High School Performing Arts Center, 2630 S Hillhurst Rd
Light refreshments will be served in the lobby beginning at 5:30 PM. Program will begin at 6:30 PM.

Can’t make it in person? The State of the City video will be available on the City of Ridgefield Facebook Page, and YouTube Channel following the premiere.

Abrams Park

The City of Ridgefield is developing a Master Plan that will outline a long-term vision for Abrams park. Preliminary concepts will be presented to City Council during the regular meeting on Thursday, March 28. View project.

Overlook Park Splash Pad

Construction on the Splash Pad at Overlook Park will be finishing up shortly and it will open for water play in 2024. View project.

Waterfront Park

The City is teaming up with the Port of Ridgefield to create a vibrant waterfront park along Lake River at the Ridgefield Waterfront. Work is underway to create a master plan for the park that considered community feedback, existing conditions and environmental constraints. OPEN HOUSE TONIGHT to review preliminary concepts and share your feedback, online survey to follow. View project.

Activities

Invasive Ivy Pull at Abrams Park

Join the Watershed Alliance as they lead an invasive English ivy pull in partnership with the Ridgefield Garden Club as part of the First Saturday activities on Saturday, April 6. Register to volunteer with the Watershed Alliance.

Waterfront Clean Up

Volunteer to the clean up the Ridgefield Waterfront alongside the Watershed Alliance of SW Washington. Participate in picking up little along the shoreline, streets, grassy and walking areas. 9 AM-11:30 AM on Saturday, April 6. Register to volunteer with the Watershed Alliance.

First Saturday Vendor Applications Now Open!

The First Saturday vendor applications are now live! We're accepting applications for vendors at our First Saturday events from May through October, and December.
