Ridgefield Traffic Impacts

This newsletter provides the most up-to-date information about road construction in the City limits and traffic impacts caused by these projects:

Pioneer Street at Discovery Drive - April 24 and 25: The City’s contractor will be paving in and near the new roundabout at Pioneer Street and Discovery Drive. This work will require intermittent flagging Thursday, April 24 and Friday, April 25 between 9 AM and 3 PM with holds up to 15 minutes at Pioneer Street and Discovery Drive. Use detour route, or expect significant delays 9 AM to 3 PM. 

We're in the final stretch! This paving work signals that we are getting very close to re-opening Pioneer Street. The weather is cooperating, and work is going well. We're looking forward to opening Pioneer Street by May 1.

NE 259th St - April 29: Single lane closure in effect on NE 259th St between NE 18th Ct and NE 10h Ave 10 AM to 2 PM on Tuesday, April 29 to allow for land surveying.

NE 10th Ave - April 29: Single lane closure in effect on NE 10th Ave between S Rohner Way and NW 1st St 9 AM to 10 AM on Tuesday, April 29 to allow for land surveying. 

S 4th Way and S 21st Place - April 21 - June 20: Single lane closure in effect on S 4th and S 21st Place from April 21 to June 20, 7 AM to 5 PM, to allow for installation of electrical and construction associated with Ridgefield Heights. 

S 15th Street at S 38th Court (Quail Ridge) - April 14 - May 14: Alternating single lane closures will be in effect on S 15th Street at S 38th Court from April 14 to May 14 to allow for street improvements for the Quail Ridge Subdivision.

SIDEWALK - S 56th Place and 65th Avenue - April 4 - May 19: Beginning Friday, April 4, an extended closure of the north-side sidewalk will be in effect to allow contractors to start initial demo for additional access point to Ridgefield Gateway. 

Consolidated Pioneer Street Closure - January 13 - May 1: Pioneer Street closed between Discovery Drive and 56th Place from Monday, January 13 to Thursday, May 1. This consolidated closure will allow the city's contractor to complete deep utility work associated with the Pioneer Widening project. Check traffic conditions via navigation map or the project traffic cameras prior to departure to determine your best route. See detour map.
