Pioneer Street - Intermittent Single Lane Closure - June 25 - June 27: City employees will be intermittently closing short segments of the left lane (adjacent to the median) on westbound Pioneer Street between Royle Road and 35th Ave during work hours, 8 AM to 3 PM, Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27. A lane of travel will remain open at all times. This closure is to protect worker safety during beautification work on the center median. The crew will monitor traffic conditions and open the lane if significant backups occur.
Pioneer Street Lane Shift - May 30 - mid-August: Secondary lanes of Pioneer Street between Discovery Drive and Royle Road will be closed 24/7 to allow the contractor to widen the road and complete improvements now until mid-August - one lane in either direction will remain open. The closure includes the eastbound right-turn only lane onto S 47th Ave (Discovery Ridge/Rosauers), the westbound left turn onto S 47th Ave and the westbound right lane entering the Royle and Pioneer roundabout. Headed westbound, left turns onto S 47th Ave (Discovery Ridge/Rosauers) will be prohibited. These changes will impact the lanes available at the Royle Road and Pioneer Street roundabout. Please slow down (25 mph work zone speed limit) and pay close attention to signage, cones, lane markings and flaggers.
N 53rd Place - June 16 - July 4: Daytime closure in effect at N 53rd Place and Pioneer Street Monday, June 16 through Friday, July 4. The driveway from N 53rd to Mountain View Dental and Ridgefield Physical Therapy will remain open and accessibly from north. This closure is associated with the Pioneer Widening project.
