The south side of the road will be closed for about five weeks while crews complete utility work, rebuild the roadway, pour curbs, and pave. Later in this closure, eastbound access to 47th Ave will close periodically for work within that roadway.
We know navigating Pioneer Street during construction hasn’t been easy, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we enter these final phases of the project. The Pioneer Widening Project is a major infrastructure upgrade for Ridgefield, and keeping traffic moving while upgrading and replacing utilities, constructing culverts and building a widened roadway has required significant planning, coordination and patience. For the amount of work involved, the project has moved forward at an impressive pace, and we’re excited to be nearing the finish line.
Thank you for your continued vigilance and patience while travelling through this construction zone. By slowing down and following posted signs, you help keep yourself, other drivers, and construction workers safe.
