Boyse Park Phase 1 Rolls Forward with New Pump Track

Ridgefield’s park system is gaining serious momentum — and speed! Construction at Boyse Park is wrapping up this month, and the centerpiece of the project, a brand-new pump track, is ready to roll.

The track’s flowing berms and smooth rollers offer a rideable playground for all ages and skill levels — from first-time riders to seasoned cyclists looking for a new challenge. Built to emphasize motion, rhythm, and balance, the track creates a fun and active space for families to connect outdoors.

Phase 1 of Boyse Park also includes a gravel parking lot, open green spaces, and essential infrastructure that set the stage for future improvements. Later phases will expand amenities and recreational opportunities, building on this exciting foundation.

The new pump track is already creating buzz among local residents and bike enthusiasts — and for good reason. It’s a first-of-its-kind feature for Ridgefield, combining play, fitness, and community in one dynamic space.

Get ready to ride, roll, and rejoice in Ridgefield’s newest outdoor adventure!

Overlook Park Splash Pad Completing “Test Drive”

Ridgefield’s newest downtown attraction is one step closer to reality - the Overlook Park Splash Pad was turned on for a “test drive” period this October.

Repairs began over the summer to get the feature into working order by repairing leaks and addressing mechanical issues.

While the splash pad is safe operating as expected, October marks what City staff are calling the “test drive” period — a chance to fine-tune daily operations, monitor water flow and filtration, and ensure all procedures run smoothly. The pad uses a recirculating system that filters and treats the water, keeping it safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible.

This soft opening allows the City to make sure the project is completed to standards before finalizing the project. Staffing, cleaning, and equipment schedules will be fully dialed in before the official launch of the 2026 summer season. When warm weather returns, you can expect a big grand-opening celebration to kick off the season in style.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION: Storybook Hollow Park

Storybook Hollow Park, located within the new Paradise Pointe neighborhood off N Royle Road, will serve as a cornerstone of the city’s commitment to creating vibrant, accessible and sustainable public spaces.

Winding paths connect this 15-acre park to the neighborhood it is nestled within. The central area, under construction now, and will feature two playgrounds with a picnic shelter between them, a nature trail, parking lot and accessible paths. This park is anticipated to open by early 2026.

Imagine strolling down a winding path that leads to a place where nature and play come together. Benches crafted from trees that stood on this land for more than a century, now continuing their service to the community in a new form. You’ll pass beneath a vine-covered archway straight from a fairytale, hear the laughter of children sliding down a slide built right into the hill, and see little adventurers climbing on wooden creatures. A forest-themed play structure and timber-framed picnic shelter overlook a thriving pond, creating a space where Ridgefield’s natural beauty and community spirit grow side by side.
