City of Ridgefield is Accepting Applications for Planning & Salary Commissions

The City of Ridgefield is seeking dynamic and self-motivated City residents to serve on the Ridgefield Planning Commission and the Salary Commission.

The Planning Commission is comprised of seven volunteer citizens who advise the City Council on planning, development and growth issues for the community. For example, the Commission makes recommendations on updates to the City’s Comprehensive Plan, Capital Facilities Plans, and Development Code regulations. With downtown revitalization, large development projects, a new Comprehensive Plan and being the fastest growing City in Washington. Planning Commission members serve four year terms, attend meetings at 6:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month and are active in the community. Eligible applicants must reside within the city limits.

The Salary Commission is a five member volunteer commission which reviews and establishes the salaries of the mayor and the council members and exercise the powers and performs the duties established by RCW 35.21.015. Salary Commission Members meet as often as necessary each year. Eligible applicants must be a registered voter and a resident of the city or within the city’s adopted urban growth area for at least one year immediately preceding such appointment.

Applications must be received no later than 5:00PM on May 20, 2022.
