One of the initial steps to doing business in Ridgefield is obtaining a business license.

Unless specifically exempted by State Law, Ridgefield City Code requires anyone who conducts business within the City of Ridgefield to have a business license. This includes home occupations and door-to-door solicitation. The annual fee for a City of Ridgefield business license is $50.

You will need to register with the State of Washington prior to obtaining a City business license. Department of Revenue Washington State provides a step by step guide to assist you in deciding what types of licenses and registrations may be required.

There is a new process for obtaining a City business license. All City business licensing will be processed as an endorsement through the Department of Revenue Washington State
