Donating blood is an essential and encouraged activity critical to sustaining community healthcare. Your one-hour donation appointment is a safe action to support local hospitals and patients. Pop-Up Donor Centers are being conducted in accordance with social distancing guidelines.

  • Emergency Demand Puts Additional Pressure on Fragile Blood Reserves – Inventory May Not Be Replenished for Several Weeks. Supporting multiple patients with catastrophic hemorrhages is further depleting an already tenuous blood supply. One teenager brought in recently to a Northwest hospital with a gunshot wound required 70 units of blood.
  • Donating blood is a simple act that can mean so much to those in need. That “someone” could be a loved one or friend. Local blood supplies are dipping due to high patient demand. Don’t wait until a person close to you needs blood, act now by booking your appointment to donate.
  • Together we give. Together we live. It’s a chain reaction, this thing that happens when you give blood. It connects us, just like music. We are bound by blood.
  • It only takes a little over an hour to give blood. From your screening to the donation chair, it’s super easy. We may not always think about how important it is to donate, but the need for patients is always there.

Appointments and masks are required at all Bloodworks donation sites and no guests under the age of 16 are permitted onsite. Same-day appointments available at most locations. There is no deferral from donating if you receive the Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, Novavax, or AstraZeneca COVID vaccine. For more information, please visit
