Enjoy the hometown holiday spirit of historic Downtown Ridgefield where you will find twinkling lights, decorated businesses, gifts, food, and holiday specials.

Visit Downtown Ridgefield on Saturday, December 4th for Ridgefield’s Hometown Celebration where you will find twinkling lights, decorated businesses, gifts, food, and holiday specials.
Check items off your list at vendors in our outdoor marketplace and in Downtown shops. Enjoy decorations and lights throughout Downtown and in our Circle of Trees at Overlook Park. Bring the family to complete winter and holiday inspired crafts and meet Santa. End the day by attending the Tree Lighting in the heart of Downtown and enjoying food and warm drinks in local restaurants and food carts.

Free fun for the family! Find a selection of winter and holiday inspired craft projects. These can be completed while waiting to meet Santa, or anytime throughout your day in Downtown.

Ornament Hunt – Downtown Ridgefield, 9AM

Did you find one of our limited edition 2020 holiday ornaments last year? Add to your collection with the 2021 ornament – design to be revealed soon!  A limited number of ornaments will be hidden around Downtown Ridgefield on Saturday, December 4th. Find one and it’s yours to keep!

Cookies, Cider, Take and Make Craft – Ridgefield Community Library, 9AM-2PM

The Friends of the Ridgefield Community Library will be serving cookies and hot cider at the Main Avenue doors of the Ridgefield Community Library from 9AM-2PM. Stop in the Library for a kids take and make craft.

Drive and Drop Food Drive – View Ridge Middle School, 9AM-2PM

Walk and Knock is Drive and Drop again! Drop off non-perishable food, toiletries, and/or cash donations at View Ridge Middle School, 3215 S Hillhurst Rd., from 9AM-2PM. All donations go to the Clark County Food Bank.

Circle of Trees – Overlook Park, 9AM

Walk through our circle of trees decorated by your favorite Ridgefield businesses and organizations and vote for the best! The trees and voting will be up for one week, through Saturday, December 11.

Say Hello to Santa – Pioneer St Game Park, 10AM-2PM

Say hello and take your own pictures in front of Santa in his big red sleigh! FREE. Here is what you need to know about Santa Visits at 2021 Hometown Celebration:

  • Visits with Santa are FREE but limited. Santa will be in town from 10AM-2PM. Lines for Santa are typically long, please plan accordingly.
  • Santa and his sleigh will be outdoors at the Pioneer St Game Park, located on Pioneer St between Pioneer Street Cafe & Bakery and Fin & Feather. If it is raining, Santa will be under cover.
  • Visitors may say hello to Santa and take their own picture in front of him in his sleigh. Elves will be nearby to assist with taking pictures if needed.
  • There will be no photographer present. Please bring your own device to capture your picture.
  • We’re sorry, but we are unable to allow kids to sit on Santa’s lap this year. Santa has a busy holiday schedule and we want to keep him healthy and jolly throughout the season.

Ridgefield Art Association Gingerbread House Contest – Ridgefield Community Library, 11AM

Viewing and voting begins at 11AM Saturday, December 4th and continues through Saturday, December 11th for the 2021 Gingerbread House Contest. Entries must be dropped off between 10-10:30. For additional information email

Holiday Performances from Local Students – Overlook Park, 12PM

View Ridge Middle School Choir and Band will perform on the Overlook Park Stage at 12PM and 1PM. Ridgefield High School Jazz Band will be traveling around Downtown playing holiday tunes.

Tree Lighting – Overlook Park, 4:30PM

Come to Overlook Park for a performance from DanceFusion, music, and the official lighting of the tree! Search the crowd for Rally the Raptor and watch Downtown light up for the holidays.

Acoustic Guitar Summit – Old Liberty Theater, 7:30PM
