Invite and meet Ridgefield High School Alumni and long term Ridgefield residents who are returning for the festivities. Join in as we celebrate all things potato at July First Saturday: Homecoming and Spudder Fest!
We will begin the day at Overlook Park with a Spudder Pancake Breakfast (wear Spudder gear or colors and eat free!), we will then welcome our regular Farmer’s Market and First Saturday vendors to the scene with a multitude of potato related activities! Participate in the Potato Olympics, Potato Games, and Potato 500 Races! Enjoy a wine garden from Spudder’s Crest Wines. End the day laughing and learning with Rhys Thomas’ Golly-ology – Rhys Thomas is a former Smithsonian artist-in-residence who takes juggling beyond physics to explore archaeology, chemistry, mathematics, and other sciences.
Meanwhile, just a few blocks away at the Ridgefield Community Library there will be an assortment of kids crafts and a book signing by author Malorie Anne Castle, of her children’s book, “If a Bear Stops by for Tea.”
