Walk & Knock is “Helping to Feed the Hungry in Our Community and County.” Walk & Knock is a one-day food drive that happens annually on the First Saturday of December. Walk & Knock solicits charitable donations of food, supplies and money across Clark County which in turn are given to local food banks for distribution to those in need across our community.
Walk & Knock will distribute grocery bags to residents the week before the food drive. Residents are asked to fill the bags with food and leave them on their doorstep. Volunteers go door-to-door to collect the bags for delivery to the Food Bank.
The Ridgefield Lions Club helps to organize the effort in our local community. Last year over nine tons of food was donated. You can help by filling a bag and leaving it on your doorstep and/or volunteering to collect food:
8:30AM | Volunteers meet at the new school on So. Hillhurst. Volunteers are needed from 8:30-12:30 to help collect food. You may sign up in advance on the Lions website.
9:00AM | Pick up begins and continues throughout the day.
So put your food on your doorstep and then head out to join the Hometown Celebration festivities in downtown Ridgefield.
