The City is preparing for another old fashioned Ridgefield 4th! Please join the celebration of Independence Day in downtown Ridgefield with a pancake breakfast, fun run, Wild Wild West themed parade and . . . Fireworks!
To help decrease the dangers of individual fireworks in neighborhoods, the 4th of July committee in partnership with the City of Ridgefield and the Port of Ridgefield, will be hosting a free public fireworks display at the Port near the Marina.
If you choose to purchase and discharge your own fireworks, please take the necessary precautions to be safe and be considerate to your neighbors by observing the City requirements:
- Sale of Consumer Fireworks. It is legal to sell and purchase consumer fireworks within the city limits from twelve o’clock noon to eleven p.m. on June 28th, from nine a.m. to eleven p.m., on each day from June 29th through July 4th and from nine a.m. to nine p.m. on July 5th.
- Discharge of Consumer Fireworks. Consumer fireworks may be used or discharged each day between the hours of twelve o’clock noon and eleven p.m. on June 28th, from nine a.m. to eleven p.m. on each day from June 29th to July 3rd, from nine a.m. to twelve o’clock midnight on July 4th, from nine a.m. to nine p.m. on July 5th, and from nine p.m. on December 31st to one a.m. on January 1st.
