Summer Day Camps for kids will be held in Ridgefield this summer, thanks to a partnership between City of Ridgefield and the Clark County Family YMCA.
The Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex and Bennett Hall at Abrams Park will host a variety of week-long YMCA Day Camps between June 21 and August 27. The day camps, designed for kids ages 4 – 6 and 7 – 12, provide fun, action packed activities and opportunities for learning through discovery. Themed camps include STEM (Lego Engineering, Star Wars Coding with Legos, and Kitchen Science); Cooking (Y Chefs Around the World, Storybook Y Chefs); Sports (Fitness Fun & Games); Performing Arts (Glee and Jr. Glee); and Creative Media Arts (Art Factory and Young Piccasso).
“We are thrilled to bring YMCA camps to Ridgefield,” said Jennifer Lawrence, Senior Program Director at the YMCA. “We believe camp is beneficial for all kids. No matter what your child’s interests are, camp helps children develop skills, build self-confidence, make new friends and strengthen a sense of belonging. Sign up your kids for camp and make this summer the best ever.”
The City is excited to partner with the YMCA to bring these valuable day camp programs to the Ridgefield community, right here at Abrams Park and the RORC. Detailed information about camps and registration is available by selecting the City of Ridgefield link at www.ymcacw.org/camps/summer.
