THANK YOU FOR JOINING US AT THE 2019 EVENT! CHECK BACK HERE FOR DETAILS FOR NEXT YEARS EVENT, SATURDAY NOVEMBER 7TH, 2020!

November First Saturday is Roaring 20’s with Wine!

Overlook Park is transformed into a jazz-filled speakeasy housed under large canopies with heaters & chandeliers for a Roaring 20’s themed wine tasting and celebration! Come enjoy the bounty of the wine corridor surrounding Ridgefield and participate in a day of 1920’s themed fun.

Live music from Re-Birthing the Cool (2PM-5PM) and Adagio Soul (11AM-1:30PM) will help set the atmosphere back nearly 100 years, to an age of jazz, dancing, and pearls. There will be selections of wines from a wide variety of local wineries, with the opportunity for a taste or a glass. Participate in dance lessons to learn the Charleston, the dance craze of the 1920s, play games and win prizes, enjoy a cheese pairing and food from our food vendors, and show off your best Roaring 20’s costume on the red carpet!

Buy your ticket(s) by Monday, October 14th and you will be automatically entered to win our Roaring Vineyard Basket, which will include:

  • $25 in food vendor credit,
  • 10 additional tasting tokens,
  • an electric corkscrew,
  • a bottle of local Ridgefield wine,
  • and chocolate.

Tasting tokens will be provided upon admission. Exchange one token for a wine tasting, or five tokens for a glass of wine. Additional tastings and glasses may be purchased directly during the event.

Old Liberty Theater

In our race towards modernity, amidst all the technological innovation and the rapid growth of our cities, silence is now quickly passing into legend. Beginning with an ode to John Cage’s seminal silent composition 4’33”, the sights and sounds of this film delicately interweave with silence to create a contemplative and cinematic experience that works its way through frantic minds and into the quiet spaces of hearts. As much a work of devotion as it is a documentary, this documentary is a meditative exploration of our relationship with silence, with sound, and the impact of noise on our lives.

Special Guests: Paul Donavan, Sc.D. Secretary General of the International Institute of Noise Control Engineers.

Doors open at 6:30, come buy a treat and/or beverage and talk with your neighbors before the movie. It’s free, but donations are very welcome.
