A note regarding the Community Events Calendar and COVID-19:

Clark County is in Phase 2 of the Safe Start program. In this Phase, gatherings are limited to 5 people outside of your household. While we have tried to keep our Community Events Calendar updated, there may be events listed that have since been cancelled. Please check with event hosts/venue prior to planning attendance and follow all local health guidelines.

This year we are celebrating RIDGEFIELD TRAILS DAY and encouraging all residents to spend some time outside on Ridgefield Trails!

Playground Program

Join in for arts, crafts, and games as we unleash the MAGIC of PLAY, IMAGINATION and FUN!

Designed for kids aged 4 to 12, the program features FREE summer activities including weekly themed arts & crafts, and games.

Pick-Up a FREE Activity Packet each week at City Hall on Tuesdays from 10am-4pm. Supplies are limited, first come, first serve.
Then, go to the Playground Program website or City of Battle Ground Facebook page for an instructional video.

2020 FUN Weekly Themes:

Week 1 – Pick-up June 16th: Shark Week

Week 2 – Pick-up June 23rd: The Great Outdoors

Week 3 – Pick-up June 30th: Red, White & Blue

Week 4 – Pick-up July 7th: How does your Garden Grow?

Week 5 – Pick-up July 14th: Star Gazing

Week 6 – Pick-up July 21st: Creepy Crawlies

Week 7 – Pick-up July 28th: Superhero Week

Week 8 – Pick-up August 4th: Ooey Gooey


Ran by Battle Ground Parks & Recreation, the Playground Program will be held virtually this summer. Weekly material packets will be available at a designated pick-up location and instructional videos released each week.

The program is made possible by annual grants from Riverview Community Bank and the Parks Foundation of Clark County.
