    Meet Me on Wednesdays is a NEW community event program starting in the Spring of 2022! The mission of Meet Me on Wednesdays is to bring active adults to Downtown Ridgefield to enjoy healthy exercise (walk, run, pedal, roll), experience the natural beauty and history of the Downtown, and to appreciate and patronize local businesses.

    Kids in strollers, well behaved leashed dogs, and people of all abilities are welcome.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    1. Check in at Overlook Park at 10AM with a Meet Me on Wednesdays coordinator. The coordinator will let you know the week’s featured meeting place and have printouts available of the day’s featured route.
    2. Set out on your route – follow the featured route or create your own path. The featured route will have wayfinding arrows posted throughout the way to assist with directions.
    3. Return to Downtown Ridgefield and socialize with other Meet Me on Wednesdays participants at the week’s featured meeting place.

    August 10: Waterfront Route, Musicians in the Park

    August 17: Little Libraries Route, Musicians in the ParkBring a book to exchange or donate to a little library!

    August 24th: Geocaching, Musicians in the Park

    August 31st: John Hudson Route, Musicians in the Park

    September 7th: Abrams Park Route Orienteering Course, Musicians in the Park

    September 14th: Main Avenue Tour led by the Ridgefield Heritage Society, Musicians in the Park

    Want to know more about the Organics service available in Ridgefield? Sign up for the virtual Organics 101 class.

    During the class, you’ll learn what is and is not accepted in the organics cart and why; how to maintain your cart and pail to keep them clean; and where this material goes after leaving the curb. These classes are offered through a partnership with Clark County Public Health, Vancouver Solid Waste and Waste Connections of Washington.

  • Red Cross Smoke Alarm Installation Event

    Home fires claim seven lives every day, but you can help change that. Help keep your family safe by registering for a free smoke alarm. May is the annual Red Cross Sound the Alarm campaign.

    We will be in your neighborhood installing FREE alarms.

    Saturday, April 30th between 10am to 4pm

    Three ways to register for a free smoke alarm:

    The Red Cross is also looking for VOLUNTEERS to assist with this project in Ridgefield and Kalama on Saturday, April 30 from 9am-4pm. No prior experience is required, we’ll provide all the training you need. Visit SoundTheAlarm.org for more information.
