In these uncertain times, plant breeders have been working overtime to make their own unique contribution to pandemic support. Or, more specifically to PANIC-demic support. The recent shortages of toilet paper were a call to arms and our botanical breeding community responded with a new variety of cattail – typha retro-papyrum. So, until toilet paper grows on trees, here you go!

No toilet paper or cattails were harmed in the experiments. However, botanical Latin will never be the same.
