The Ridgefield Main Street Program

The Ridgefield Main Street Program is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the cultural heritage of downtown Ridgefield, while advocating for its future, through economic development, community events, public and private partnerships, and unified branding and marketing of the downtown core.

Mission: Our mission is to create a sustainable, vibrant downtown that is the heart and soul of our city by showcasing our unique destination and history, and by nurturing our sense of community.

General community meetings are held the third Thursday of every month at the Sportsman’s Steakhouse & Saloon at 8:30 a.m.

Four Point Approach

Through a number of projects, RMS focuses on these key areas as part of the Washington Main Street Program:

Economic Development
We work to strengthen our existing economic assets while diversifying the downtown area. We do this by identifying potential, finding new uses for vacant of underused spaces and improving business practices.

Working closely with private and public groups, we are seeking to improve the visual quality of Downtown. Projects include cover buildings, signs, window displays, landscaping, and the environment. Our goal is to create a safe, vibrant place for all Ridgefield residents.

There are a number of private groups, businesses, and governmental agencies all committed to making Downtown Ridgefield a jewel nestled right outside the door of one of the largest metropolitan areas in the Pacific Northwest. The Ridgefield Main Street Program seeks to unify these voices in advocacy and management of the Downtown area.

Ridgefield Main Street is focused on promoting downtown in a positive manner allowing the community to focus on the downtown as a source of community pride, social activity, and economic development potential.
