Historic Walking Tour

Downtown Ridgefield is home to many historical sites, including homes, churches, theaters, and banks. In 2013, a 1926 time capsule was uncovered in the foundation of the building during renovations; and its contents are on display at City Hall.

A self-guided walking tour including these two buildings was created for the City’s centennial in 2009 in order to help residents and visitors explore Ridgefield’s rich history. The tour was recently updated to reflect current uses of historic buildings.
