June Council Action HighlightsPlanning Commission Qualifications Revised to Allow One Member from Urban Growth AreaAt the regular City Council meeting on Thursday, June 12 Council adopted Ordinance No. 1456, amending rules for Qualification Requirements for members of the Planning Commission. Planning Commission is a seven-member advisory body to the City Council. Previously, all Planning Commission members were required to live within Ridgefield city limits. With the adoption of Ordinance No. 1456, the code is modified to allow up to one member of the Planning Commission to live within the Urban Growth Area (UGA). The AWC conference is an excellent opportunity for your Councilmembers to learn more about key topics for our city, such as affordable housing strategies, public safety, youth engagement, and collaborative leadership. They also had opportunities to connect and share ideas with other community leaders statewide.
