Proclamations
Proclamations are a special way to recognize an organization, person, cause or special event.
Proclamations are presented by the Mayor at regularly scheduled Council meetings. To request a proclamation, please view the policy and request form below.
January 12, 2023 - Mayor Lindsay proclaimed January 2022 as "Ridgefield Blood Donor Month" and encouraged all residents to celebrate the New Year by giving blood.

May 25, 2023 - Mayor Lindsay proclaimed June 2023 as "Pride Month" and encouraged all residents to honor the valuable contributions of the LGBTQ+ individuals and groups in our City, to respect our diverse and to celebrate and build a culture of inclusiveness and acceptance.

May 25, 2023 - Mayor Lindsay proclaimed June 3, 2023 as "Ridgefield Trails Day" and encouraged all hikers, cyclists, equestrians and paddlers to take the National Trails Day pledge to improve a trail by leaving it better than the way you found it.

April 14, 2022 - Mayor Pro Tem Aichele proclaimed April 17 through April 23 as "Ridgefield Volunteer Week" and encouraged all residents to renew their commitment to service and reserve some time to get out and volunteer.

October 13, 2022 - Mayor Lindsay recognized the Pink Lemonade Project, a local organization that works to educate, empower and support those affected by breast cancer, and the Pink Patch Project, a public awareness campaign the Ridgefield Police Department participates in each year to raise money for the Pink Lemonade Project, and proclaimed October 2022 "Ridgefield Breast Cancer Awareness Month".

October 27, 2022 - Mayor Lindsay proclaimed the month of October 2022 "Disability Employment Awareness Month" and urged all residents to embrace the talents and skills that workers with disabilities bring to promote the right to equal employment for all.
