Proclamations

Proclamations are a special way to recognize an organization, person, cause or special event.
Proclamations are presented by the Mayor at regularly scheduled Council meetings. To request a proclamation, please view the policy and request form below.

January 12, 2023 - Mayor Lindsay proclaimed January 2022 as "Ridgefield Blood Donor Month" and encouraged all residents to celebrate the New Year by giving blood.

March 9, 2023 - Mayor Lindsay proclaimed March 2023 as "Red Cross Month" and encouraged all residents to join this commitment by donating, volunteering or giving blood. This lifesaving work is vital to strengthening our community's resilience.

April 13, 2023 - Mayor Lindsay proclaimed April 2023 as "Earth Day Celebration Month" and encouraged Ridgefield residents to take part in activities like picking up litter and planting trees to help make our earth a happier, healthier place to live.

May 11, 2023 - Mayor Lindsay proclaimed May 2023 as "Public Service Recognition Month" and encouraged all residents to recognize the contributions of time and talent by public employees and community volunteers, and the importance of their services to our daily lives.
