Pavement Preservation work this summer will improve and preserve Ridgefield’s roads to protect vital transportation infrastructure.
2024 Pavement Preservation work will include crack and slurry seal, asphalt repairs, ADA sidewalk ramp construction and striping. This work can cause traffic delays and road closures.
HOAs and Residents living on or near roads receiving treatment this summer have begun receiving notifications via mail reminding them to ensure their street trees are trimmed to allow clearance for maintenance vehicles. Closer to treatment application dates, residents can expect notifications delivered to their door notifying specific dates and road closures. Schedules and road closures will also be posted to the 2024 Pavement Preservation project page at https://ridgefieldroundtable.org/2024-pavement-preservation
The map below shows the 2024 project locations, including crack and slurry seal work in neighborhoods and asphalt repair on selected higher traffic streets. More detailed resurfacing maps and complete project list can also be found at https://ridgefieldroundtable.org/2024-pavement-preservation
Each year Ridgefield completes road maintenance and preservation projects by monitoring and prioritizing streets according to the Pavement Conditions Index (PCI). The goal is to maintain an average rating of about 80 (Very Good). Proactive pavement preservation methods are the best way to prevent costly street repairs in the future.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete this work.
