The City of Ridgefield is pleased to announce that the application period for the 2025 City Partners Program is now open. This initiative aims to recognize and support local non-profit and community groups that contribute significantly to the city's economic development, community events, public services, supporting local businesses and the maintenance or improvement of public facilities.
About the City Partners Program
The City Partners Program acknowledges organizations that play an important role in fulfilling the City Council's goals while addressing needs within the community. Recognized City Partners are eligible for various benefits, including:
- Waiver of Facility Use Fees: City Partners may request a waiver of facility use fees for City-owned spaces used to provide services to the public. Waivers are limited to two times per year for each group.
- Waiver of Special Event Permit Fees: City Partners can apply for a waiver of special event permit fees for public events that address a community need. Waivers are limited to two events per year per group.
- Financial or In-kind Contributions: City Partners may receive up to $1,200 annually in financial contributions or in-kind services for projects that benefit the community. All financial support is subject to the City's annual budget and City Council approval.

To be recognized as a City Partner, a community group must meet one of the following criteria:
- A community group with which the City has a contract to perform services.
- A group that volunteers to maintain or improve public facilities.
- A group serving a public purpose and working within Ridgefield to address a specific community need or support a goal of the City Council.
