[ARCHIVED] Celebrate a Decade of Community Fun at the 10th Anniversary of Ridgefield First Saturdays

For ten years, Ridgefield First Saturdays has been the heart of downtown Ridgefield, bringing the community together through music, food, art, and family-friendly activities. On Saturday, May 3, we’re celebrating a decade of this vibrant tradition with our annual Spring Festival, marking 10 incredible years of creativity, connection and fun!

From themed events and athletic challenges to local artists showcasing their work, each First Saturday has been a unique celebration. This milestone event will feature lively vendor markets, sidewalk sales, outdoor concerts, delicious food from local vendors, and much more.

Join us for this special occasion and create lasting memories with friends and family as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Ridgefield First Saturdays in Downtown Ridgefield!

Event Schedule:

Davis Park:

Ridgefield First Saturdays Vendor Market (9 AM-2 PM): Explore a variety of local produce, artisan goods, and more from our vibrant First Saturday vendors from 9 AM-2 PM

Live Music by Brenna Larsen (10:30 AM-1:30 PM: Enjoy Brenna's unique blend of timeless charm and contemporary flair from 10:30 AM-1:30 PM. Her original compositions, influenced by iconic songwriters of the 60s and 70s, combine folk nostalgia with the groove of jazz.

Overlook Park:

10th Anniversary Celebration: Help us celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Ridgefield First Saturdays at Overlook Park! Hear from Mayor Cole, enjoy a free sweet treat at 12 PM and look at the memories made over the last 10 years. Limited edition t-shirts are available for pre-order on our website or to purchase day of. Snag one to wear all year long!

Overpass Art Reveal (11 AM): Come celebrate a new public art installation on the Pioneer Street Rail Overpass! The City is installing a series of colorful steel sandhill cranes on safety screens along both Pioneer Street Overpasses. We will commemorate this installation with a viewing from Overlook Park and a walk on the Rail Overpass. 

Spring Festival Talent Showcase (12 PM): We’re hosting our first-ever Talent Showcase – not a competition but a celebration of community talent! Whether you sing, dance, act, play an instrument, or have a unique skill, we invite participants of all ages to share their talents. The showcase will begin immediately following our 10th Anniversary celebration at 12 PM.

Lawn Games (9 AM - 2 PM): Join us for friendly games of ladder ball, disc golf, yard Jenga, cornhole, and spike ball.

Craft Station (9 AM - 2 PM): Stop by the City of Ridgefield Events Trailer to create a Spring Festival craft. All supplies and instructions provided, while supplies last.

Abrams Park:

Garden Club Plant Sale at Bennett Hall (9 AM - 3 PM): The annual Ridgefield Garden Club Plant Sale will be held at Bennett Hall at Abrams Park, featuring hanging baskets, sun and shade planters, home-grown veggies, flowers, herbs, shrubs, and more. Please note: Cash, Check, Debit, or Credit accepted—no Cash Apps due to tax regulations.

Bonus: Ridgefield Art Association members will also have art on display at the plant sale, adding a creative touch to your gardening experience.

Ridgefield Community Library:

Southwest Washington Watercolor Society Spring Exhibit: View beautiful watercolor art throughout the month of May. For more information, visit the Ridgefield Community Library.
