The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to City of Ridgefield for its comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2022.
The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate the city’s financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report. This is the ninth consecutive year that the City of Ridgefield has earned this award.
City Manager Steve Stuart expressed his appreciation to Finance Director Kirk Johnson and his team on their remarkable achievement, “Ridgefield’s continued commitment to transparency and accountability to our residents is reflected in the nine consecutive years of receiving this award. This recognition reinforces the city's commitment to maintaining economic stability and meeting growing community needs.”
