Meet at Ridgefield Wine Bar on Wednesday, September 11 at 4:30 PM to hear the story of the mural, honor the artists, meet the dragon boat team and have a taste of Ridgefield Roundabout Red.
After the formal gathering, attendees are invited to hang around and enjoy a glass of wine or bite to eat at Ridgefield Wine Bar (at own cost).

We are thrilled to unveil Downtown Ridgefield’s newest mural!
Located on the north side of 112 N Main Avenue, this vibrant mural is a testament to the power of community partnerships and the spirit of volunteerism in Ridgefield.
The mural showcases the two Ridgefield Dragon Boats, which were acquired by the City, restored by volunteer groups including the Ridgefield Art Association and Ridgefield Lions Club, and are now a key part of our volunteer-led community paddling program.
The boats face grape vines and bottles of ‘Ridgefield Roundabout Red,’ symbolizing the roundabout vineyards that frame the entrance to the City of Ridgefield at the junction of Pioneer Street and I-5. These vineyards have been planted, maintained, and harvested by volunteers, with wine produced and bottled by local Ridgefield vineyards, featuring labels designed by local artists.
This mural project is another remarkable example of community collaboration. Building owner Merrilee Asla Lee had long desired a mural on the north side of her building, and this spring, while she and Deputy City Manager Lee Knottnerus were examining the blank wall, several artists and art lovers happened to pass by. A brainstorming session followed, generating the idea of a mural that would show the relationship between Lake River and the Dragon Boats, to the Roundabout Vineyards and their products. The city took this idea to graphic designer Patrick Hildreth, who developed the digital concept. Finally, the mural was brought to life by Kassi Dae Summers, whose painting was funded by Ridgefield Main Street.
