Qualifications
The City of Ridgefield offers an expedited permit program for commercial tenant improvements (TI) that meet the following qualifications:
- Work area is 5,000 square feet or less; AND
- No structural engineering review is required.
Application & Fee
Prior to applying on the permit portal, complete the Commercial Tenant Improvement application. If your project meets the expedited review qualifications, apply online for a commercial TI expedited application. Indicate on the commercial TI application that your project meets the expedited review qualifications.
Review
Expedited commercial TIs receive concierge-type service, with plan review complete within one calendar week. Staff will contact the applicant as they perform the plan review with any questions, re-submittal needs, or to solve code compliance issues.
Quality of plans submitted, code compliance, and timeliness of the applicant’s response to the reviewer’s questions and comments can alter the expedited time frame. Expedited review pertains to City of Ridgefield building permits only.
