When storm drains get clogged with leaves, trash, and debris, it can lead to flooding and pollution in our local streams and wetlands. But with just a few minutes of your time each month, you can help prevent that.

The Adopt-a-Drain Washington program makes it easy. Once you sign up, you’ll choose a drain to care for and receive simple tips for keeping it clean and safe. Most adopters spend about 15 minutes a couple times a month - just enough to check on the drain and clear any debris.
