Outdoor Burning
According to Municipal Code 8.28.030 all outdoor burning and outdoor fires within the City of Ridgefield, Washington shall be unlawful, excepting the following, specific types of outdoor fires:
- Ceremonial, religious or celebratory fire no larger than three feet by three feet by two feet using only virgin wood shall be allowed.
- Recreational fires no larger than three feet by three feet by two feet using only virgin wood shall be allowed.
- Fire conducted for training by Clark County Fire District Number 12 charged with the responsibility to suppress fires within the city of Ridgefield.
- Agricultural burning under a valid agricultural burn permit issued by the Washington State Department of Ecology, conducted in accordance with the provisions of this chapter and the laws of the state of Washington and all federal laws. To qualify for agricultural burning, the applicant must have filed a Schedule F with their federal tax returns.

Consumer Fireworks
Consumer fireworks are permitted on July 4th only from 9 am to midnight.
Fireworks go on sale in Clark County beginning June 28.
Fireworks can be extremely disruptive and harmful to animals, children, and individuals. Please be a good neighbor and only discharge fireworks on July 4.
Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency (CRESA) has established this phone number for reporting nuisance fireworks complaints: 360-597-7888. The phone line will be in operation July 3 through 5.
You may also use this form to report to CRESA.'
Residents are asked not to call 911 or 311 for the purpose of reporting nuisance fireworks. Only call 911 in an emergency when there is a fire, injury or lives are in danger.

If you choose to use fireworks, please use them responsibly:
- Discharge fireworks on July 4 only between 9 am and midnight.
- Use of fireworks is prohibited on all school grounds, parks, building rooftops, parking lots, playfields and athletic fields.
- Use them safely outdoors, always with adult supervision.
- Clean up fireworks residue when you are done.
- Sweep up debris and put used fireworks in a bucket of water overnight.
- Remove them from the water and put them in a garbage bag and into your garbage can.
- Dump the water onto grass, dirt or other landscape where it won't flow into a storm drain and into the river. Do not pour onto pavement, into the street or down a drain.
Using fireworks is illegal on City, Port and School District parks and public properties, including Abrams Park, Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex (RORC), the Ridgefield Waterfront and Boat Launch, and all Ridgefield School District campuses, fields, and facilities.
